I bought the tap splitter kit as there was a bath tap that I could not move. I first phoned ABD to tell them my problem and they were extremely helpful. The kit arrived the following day and on following the instructions the tap head/valve was removed. (I’m an average DIY’er).
This is a great kit and in my opinion worth every penny.

Product was well designed. It was disappointing that the tap valve could not be removed not because of any problem with the product, but because the scale was too severe. Perhaps the taps need to be better designed for longer life, as the tap was less than 10 years old.

I bought this tool shift the valve on a 40year old kitchen tap. It worked like a dream! There's no fear of turning the tap in its base and causing more problems than you started with. Thoroughly recommended!

Gave up,just did not work,none of the rubber inserts for the spout worked,they are all too big.
Did not want to continue using,as could have damaged our basin.

Worked Ok but none of the hex inserts closely fitted my tap, which surprised me a little, as it's a standard tap. In hindsight might have bought the set without the case. Pleased by the outcome though!

Extremely useful tool that saved a plumbers call out to remove a stuck tap barrel. It is very easy to use with the instructions and videos clearly explaining the process. Everything that is needed is in the kit and the case keeps it all together very well. My only suggestion would be that in the description it recommends a 90 degree angle between the spanner and the tap sleeve. I found that around 60 degrees was easier to fit and gave enough of a turn to release the tap barrel.

I consulted the internet when I found that the standard method of splitting the tap wasn't working for me (I'm not particularly strong). The result was finding ABD Tools, getting brilliant service and advice, receiving the Easy TapSplitter very quickly, and 'splitting' the tap with no trouble at all. (I bought the basic version, with no box. At first I thought they had forgotten to send me the extra 'inserts', but then learnt that they are tucked away at the top of the 'spout sleeve'. Very neat.)

I had a basin hot tap that had been fitted by superman!
Fortunately it hadn't given any problems in 40+ years ( Bungalow built in 1971). I was unable to budge it without risking serious damage. This tool did the job easily.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this splitter and great service from ABD.
